Just a mile down the road from Alnoba, our sister organization The Farm at Eastman’s Corner is Alnoba’s key catering partner for smaller events. A community-governed, year-round farm and farm market, Eastman’s Corner is a model for economic and environmental sustainability, food production, and education.
In addition to the year-round farm market, the site also includes 11 greenhouses, a community gathering space, an animal yard, and two commercial kitchens. All of these facilities are available to groups visiting Alnoba.
Eastman’s Corner grows their own ingredients, or buys directly from local farms and artisans, to ensure that our guests enjoy the freshest produce, dairy, and meats, while supporting our farmer neighbors and local economy. Using fresh local ingredients also helps to preserve natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint by cutting down on the distance our food travels and our dependence on corporate food production.
Fresh From the Farm Dining
Our menus feature seasonal produce, humanely raised meats, cage-free eggs, and hormone-free dairy. The honey for your tea comes from hives just down the road, and the maple syrup on your pancakes is made from the trees right outside the center. Alnoba emphasizes fresh, local, and healthy foods that are nourishing to the body and the soul.
The Farm also offers call-ahead ordering for hot, delicious meals, from chicken pot pie to steak and Red Bliss potatoes. See the options. Refrigerator cases in the store are also stocked with take-and-heat options like chicken parmesan and shepherd’s pie.
All of our food is prepared by The Farm at Eastman’s Corner, which gives 100% of its profits and 5% of every sale to support Kensington’s Sawyer Park, a beautiful and organically managed park for children and families.
This 30-acre public park in Kensington is a destination for parents and children looking for a safe and welcoming place to meet and play. Built in 2008 by the Lewis Family Foundation, the park offers an extensive range of amenities that makes it a major playtime destination. Amenities include: Three lit athletic fields, a basketball court, a playground, a skateboard park, a bandstand, a concession stand, restrooms, and a pavilion.
Sawyer Park is the only facility of its kind here on the Seacoast, and it is visited by thousands of families from our surrounding communities each year.
