All of Joseph Gray’s pieces are hand carved with hammer and chisel, a timeless technique that grants his work a monumental aura. The form of Man of Wisdom is inspired by traditional representations of the Buddha, filtered through Gray’s uniquely New England lens.

The sculpture stands 11 feet tall near Alnoba’s Japanese Tea House on the hillside sloping down to Winkley Brook, a uniquely peaceful setting.
