Harriet Lewis

Co-Founder, Alnoba and Pinnacle Leadership and Team Development and Board Member Emeritus, Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation

An educator, philanthropist, world traveler, and Board Member Emeritus of the Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation, Harriet has devoted her life to advancing social change and developing courageous leaders.

After teaching children with severe emotional disabilities in Washington, DC and Boston, she built organizations and programs to create opportunities for young people. Founded on Harriet’s unwavering belief that Strong Leaders make Strong Communities, she co-founded Grand Circle Foundation’s World Classroom, Pinnacle Leadership and Team Development, as well as Boston’s Community Advisory Group and Next Generation Leaders Program, which provides rising college freshmen from Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan with work, service, and international travel experiences to advance their leadership and improve success in life and college.

Through her leadership at Alnoba Lewis Family Foundation and numerous community initiatives, Harriet inspires and supports generations of emerging gutsy leaders. She firmly believes that our best hope for real, lasting, and deep community transformation rests with our young people.

Harriet is unwavering in her commitment to work in partnership with the community and ensures in her philanthropic endeavors that we first, “ask and listen” to the young people, their families, and leaders who live in the neighborhoods and global villages where we give back.

She is a role model of ‘tough love’, a strong women, who encourages us all to tell the truth and be who you are.
