Empowering the Next Generation Through Outdoor Youth Leadership Programs and SEL
Our youth leadership programs are a powerful resource to support social-emotional learning, leadership development, and team building. Facilitated by experts, these experiences equip youth with critical life skills while reinforcing the values of resilience, collaboration, and personal growth.
We host close to 1,000 youths from Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan and Seacoast, NH each year. By focusing on youth as early as elementary school, we believe we can help create an expectation of success that will carry these young people far, thus building strong leaders into the next generation.

Providing the opportunity to have students be outside of their comfort zones continues to be the most impactful part of this trip. Whether it's doing a group activity, climbing, or just being outdoors, everyone responds positively to being just a bit uncomfortable. The kids would not stop talking about how next year, they will try to go higher on an element or retry one with a different approach.

The SEL program Alnoba/Pinnacle was beautiful and one the Next community will always remember. We received positive feedback from our staff and students about the days. All of the activities were enjoyable and well put together, the ropes courses were exhilarating and provided opportunities for everyone to communicate in a vulnerable and authentic way. We were able to step outside our comfort zones while also having fun. We are so excited to return!!!

When we first thought about visiting Alnoba we had a Zoom meeting with Sydni, and she was the most incredible liaison for this process, she was patient, and unbelievably flexible and friendly. She helped plan our recent visit, and helped us to dream bigger with another visit in the spring to help book-end our school year setting goals in the fall, and ropes course in the spring to show off how much we have grown, and how much confidence we have garnered. I can't thank you enough for the opportunity to bring our kids here, it was amazing!

It was an exceptional time at Alnoba. Our young actors and their parents were so very inspired by the stunning , beautiful and rich in common vision setting...helped us to deepen our communities commitment to social justice through the theater . Your folks took good care of us with much consideration to our needs and provided generous hospitality the entire time.

After the art tour, we began the ropes course... and I witnessed a moment that really stayed with me. One student, who had been firmly against trying the course, decided to take a risk. Even though she didn’t get very far, the fact that she tried at all was incredibly powerful.
Experiences like this are such a reminder of how meaningful this work is. Seeing students step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and grow in real time is something I won’t forget.
