Because we realize that we are made for goodness.” \n– Archbishop Desmond Tutu \n“You see\, usually everybody seeks happiness – joyfullness – but from outside. From money\, from power\, from big car\, from big house. Ultimate source of happy life – even physical health – inside not outside.” \n– His Holiness the Dalai Lama \n  \nSOLD OUT

SUMMARY:Transforming as a Community: Conscious Connection at the Spring Equinox
DESCRIPTION:*Located at Alnoba 24 Cottage Rd. Kensington\, NH\n\nTuesday\, March 19th from 5pm-8pm\nDoors open at 4pm to explore grounds.\n\nAuthor Katherine May writes in her hybrid memoire Wintering\, “Plants and animals don’t fight the winter; they don’t pretend it’s not happening and attempt to carry on living the same lives that they lived in the summer. They prepare. They adapt. They perform extraordinary acts of metamorphosis to get them through. Winter is a time of withdrawing from the world\, maximizing scant resources\, carrying out acts of brutal efficiency and vanishing from sight; but that’s where the transformation occurs. Winter is not the death of the life cycle\, but it’s crucible.” \nSpiritual Consultant Kristin Bredimus returns to Alnoba in 2024 to build upon the journey started with her “Healing as a Community” series. In community we began a journey of healing from our collective trauma; learning how to release and alchemize what no longer served us. Together we will share the thoughtful observations of how the last several years have shaped and changed our lives and our world. In community we will co-create a vision for our personal and collective futures. By observing the cycles of nature in the Northern Hemisphere\, we will seek inspiration for our own rebirth and collective transformation. Each event will incorporate ancient spiritual ceremonies\, meditation\, and rituals inspired by the season. \nSpring Equinox \nAll who are weary from winter and the heaviness of our times are invited for an evening of cleansing and renewal; borrowing from Shamanic traditions\, Druid magical practices\, Pagan ceremony\, and Quantum Healing. \nAs we emerge from the stillness of wintering\, we will work with the Egg (a symbol of rebirth and fertility) to cleanse the body and energetic field of any negative energy. We will cocreate our community intention to cleanse any energies that we may consciously or unconsciously be carrying that reflect the weight of our world. Kristin will guide the group in clearing the energies and discerning the global energies that we are clearing. \nAs a community\, we will create both personal intentions for growth and renewal\, as well as our shared prayers for the planet. We will seed these intentions through the creation of a communal altar. Kristin will build the foundation through sacred symbolism associated with the sabbat Ostara\, inviting attendees to weave in their own medicine through treasured or found objects. \nThrough ceremonial meditation\, Kristin will guide the group on a journey designed to energize the intentions within the quantum field. All thoughts have energy and all energy manifests over time and space. Prayers\, intentions\, imagination\, ritual\, and cocreation amplify and expedite the process. \nEgg Cleanse Reference \nOstara Reference \nSpring Equinox \nAbout Kristin Bredimus\nKristin is a Certified Spiritual Counsellor\, Certified Angelic Consultant\, and Crystal Master. She was trained in London\, England at the College of Psychic Studies\, the School of Healing & Intuition\, and through Penny King Crystals\, authorized by Philip Permutt\, “The Crystal Healer.” Her spiritual teachers and mentors include author and crystal expert Judy Hall\, author\, and founder of the School of Intuition & Healing; Sue Allen; and author and Hermetic Reiki Master\, Damien Echols. DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT – Please join our mailing list to stay up-to-date on when Alex will return for another event!\n\nSpeaker Series: “Small Island\, Big Picture” with Alexandra de Steiguer\nArtist\, Author\, Isles of Shoals Winter Caretaker\nThursday\, April 18th from 5PM to 7PM \nDoors open at 4pm for an opportunity to walk the grounds and grab a drink from our cash bar. \nFor twenty seven years\, Alexandra de Steiguer has been the only full-time resident caretaker on the remote Isles of Shoals during the five months of each harsh New England winter. From Star Island\, one of nine small islands lying off the coasts of New Hampshire and Maine\, she has deepened her relationship to contemplation\, photography\, the natural elements\, and the written word. \nWhat do the Isles of Shoals have to do with death-defying Antarctic expeditions\, offset printing\, Lord Byron\, your most insightful moments\, and how birds perceive time? Star Island’s winter caretaker Alexandra de Steiguer has had plenty of time to think about it… twenty-seven years of winter solitude lets you connect a lot of dots. Hear her speak of these and other ideas in a thought-provoking event that includes her work as well as that of other artists\, poets and thinkers. She’ll also reflect on how Star Island offered her the opportunity to create her first book\, “Small Island\, Big Picture”. \n\nAbout Speaker:\nAlexandra de Steiguer is the resident caretaker on the Isles of Shoals during five deserted months of winter\, recently returned from her twenty-seventh sojourn on the islands. Her images offer a solitary\, naturalist perspective: not only paying tribute to the wild elements that claim those shores and reflecting wider connections within the natural world\, but also pointing to the transitory and humbling nature of our residence in such places. \nAlex creates her images using medium-format film and personally prints each one in her traditional darkroom. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout New England and is in the permanent collections of the deCordova Museum\, the North Carolina Museum of Art and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art. Her insightful musings on solitude\, connection and the creative process are published in her book “Small Island\, Big Picture” and in original music composed and arranged on the Isles of Shoals. Alexandra’s story has been the subject of two internationally distributed short-form documentary films. She is a two-time artist fellow of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. \n\nAuthor of Small Island\, Big Picture: Winters of Solitude Teach an Artist to See (2013\, Mid-Tide Press)\, and contributor (images\, prose) to American Impressionist: Childe Hassam and the Isles of Shoals (2016\, Yale University Press).\nHer haunting black and white photography has been collected by the DeCordova Museum\, the North Carolina Museum of Art\, and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art and is represented in New England by the Pucker Gallery\, 240 Newbury Street\, Boston.\nPast appearances on National Public Radio\, Boston Chronicle and NH Chronicle. Profiled by Yankee Magazine\, LensWork Magazine\, Don’t Take Pictures Magazine\, The Square Magazine\, The Boston Globe and others\, and as the subject of and contributor to the award winning documentary film “Winter’s Watch” (2017).\n\n\nRefund and Weather Policy\nTickets are non-refundable. Please note that all events at Alnoba are rain or shine. If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather you will receive an email notification. If you do not get an email notifying you that the event is cancelled\, that means the event is still going forward as scheduled. \nSOLD OUT\nTestimonials\n“Alexandra’s well chosen words and thoughts complete and compliment photographs which are things of beauty and reflect the haunting places and spaces wherein she dwells.”\n-Paul Caponigro \n“We found your photographs and your accompanying words deeply powerful and moving. I felt a wonderful kinship with your beautiful work.”\n-Prof. Richard Capobianco \n“So seldom in our culture do people have experiences of solitude like yours. It is a great gift for you to share this with others.” \n“Your photographs convey stillness and beauty\, but they become doubly powerful when paired with your words.” \n“It felt like a conversation rather than a presentation.” \n“She thinks\, explores\, writes and photographs with a medium format camera.” \n“An experience.”

Kensington\, NH \nFilm screening begins at 5PM\, followed by zoom Q&A session with the director. \nWe are thrilled to announce that we will be showcasing yet another one of Holly Morris’s incredible films\, The Babushkas of Chernobyl! Holly will be joining us virtually for a special Q&A session following the screening\, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her as a part of our Film Series. So sit back\, relax\, and get ready to be blown away by this amazing film. Keep reading to learn more about it – trust us\, you won’t want to miss it! \nSynopsis\nIn the radioactive Dead Zone surrounding Chernobyl’s Reactor No. 4\, a defiant community of women scratches out an existence on some of the most toxic land on Earth. They share this hauntingly beautiful but lethal landscape with an assortment of interlopers—scientists\, soldiers\, and even ‘stalkers’—young thrill-seekers who sneak in to pursue post-apocalyptic video game-inspired fantasies. Why the film’s central characters\, Hanna Zavorotyna\, Maria Shovkuta\, and Valentyna Ivanivna\, chose to return after the disaster\, defying the authorities and endangering their health\, is a remarkable tale about the pull of home\, the healing power of shaping one’s destiny and the subjective nature of risk. \nTo learn more\, visit the official film website here. \nAbout the Director\nHolly Morris \nFor tow decades Holly Morris has told\, and championed\, pro-woman\, cross-cultural stories on the global stage. She is an internationally known filmmaker\, author\, and presenter (Adventure Divas\, Globa Trekker\, Treks in a Wild World). \nHer last feature film\, The Babushkas of Chernobyl (“Beautiful\, affectionate and stirring”- NYT) premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival\, where it won the Jury Award for Directing\, the first of nearly two dozen awards received before being broadcast world-wide. The film\, based on her print journalism\, is about a defiant community of women who live inside Ukraine’s radioactive “Exclusion Zone”. The story is also the basis of her popular TED talk. \nRefund and weather policy \nTickets are non-refundable. Please note that all events at Alnoba are rain or shine. Kensington\, NH\nDoors open at 4pm for an opportunity to walk the grounds and grab a drink from our cash bar. \nJoin Certified Health and Life Coach\, Kathleen Ford\, for a special event! Artistic talent or knowledge is not necessary\, and this exercise is useful and available to anyone! \nAbout The Event \nWe are awakening to the realization that what we bring to our world is how we create our world. With this awareness comes an accountability to our own inner being and the knowledge that nothing can happen in our external world without it first happening at a level of consciousness. \nEvery human being faces challenges that create uncomfortable or painful emotions. In this class I will walk you through a simple\, useful\, creative exercise using paint and canvas to bring you guidance that will remedy or transmute an emotion\, thought\, or belief that is creating disharmony\, strife\, or conflict with your inner world. This is sometimes referred to as shadow work\, however you might also refer to this as your triggers\, habits\, or patterns of behavior. These aspects of self impact how we operate in our daily lives\, often not in alignment to our True selves. This can be in our awareness\, but often this happens subconsciously; an analogy would be\, it is like letting a passenger take the wheel while driving your car. \nThrough this exercise you will learn how to acknowledge these aspects of self in the non-judging\, non-shaming way\, and embrace them with compassion and understanding that will align you to an expanded level of consciousness that not only has the power to heal and transform you as an individual but will also benefit all of humanity. By creating peace in our inner world\, we bring peace to the world by our presence and being. \nEvent Schedule: \n\nClearing our Energetic Fields and Creating Our Safe Sacred Space\nBrief introduction with my story and my intentions\nAbout the class; why paint and canvas\, definitions of art and creativity\, emotions\, examples of how shadows\, triggers\, or patterns of behavior present\, definition of alchemy\n\n  \nThe Exercise: \n\nSetting your intention\nBrief meditation to open the heart space\nPainting the discord or disharmony\nIlluminating the discord; shining light on the darkness\nPainting the transformation\, alchemy\nSharing – Allowing time and space for all who want to share their experiences\n\n  \nRefund and Weather Policy \nTickets are non-refundable. I inherently knew information for or about others through the colors and images that surrounded them. I do not remember when or how I realized that this was not how everyone around me was operating. I do not remember a particular conversation or event that made this so\, but from an early age I knew this was something I needed to keep to myself. I grew up in the 1950’s and I believe the consciousness available in the common field at that time contributed to the feelings of shame\, fear\, and separateness that became a way of life for me. I grew up in a large Irish Catholic family that held no limit of drama and chaos from which I withdrew to a quiet space with my friends; Roberta and Sheila. Although Roberta and Sheila were very real to me\, and again I do not know how\, when\, or why\, but I knew not to speak of them to others. Their presence in my life brought me both comfort and anguish…another way that I was different\, and as time went on I held a belief that I did not belong here. \nI tell you this because it sets the stage for the trajectory of my life experiences. I spent most of my life denying who I was and trying to be like everyone else. I believed if I could make the external world look like I was taught it should be\, that I would be alright. I did what I was supposed to do\, I got married\, I had children I got my BSN and became a Registered Nurse. When that did not work\, I got my MBA and became a Healthcare Executive. The experiences went on and on and eventually I became disillusioned with the belief that anything could make me feel like I belonged here. \nMy disillusionment grew into despair\, and I began to ask for and search for help. Over forty years ago I had been introduced to a spiritual path through a 12 step program\, and although at the time I held no belief that this would do anything that would help me\, the seed was planted. Over time I became involved with other spiritual teachings\, all of which contributed to my healing. \n\n\n\nFrom Mindfulness teachings with Jon Kabat Zin\, to A Course in Miracles\, a long list of Spiritual Teachers\, I became a student of the Violet Flame\, and much more. About eight years ago I was introduced to a Spiritual Mentor and Healer\, Kristin Bredimus\, who through pure love and compassion has shown me how to step into my True Self and be seen. About five years ago I became a student of the Energies of Melchizedek and I continue to grow\, heal\, and expand my awareness of the unseen. \nEveryday I experience real joy and real purpose. I humbly share my gifts with the world as part of the whole giving permission to others to do the same\, for the benefit of all. \n\n\n\nCredentials: \n\nIntuitive Artist\, Channel\, Psychic Medium\, Energy Reader\nCertified Health and Life Coach\, Certified Mindfulness Practitioner BSN\, RN\, MBA\, Certified Health Care Management
