It’s bold and wild\, springing from Alnoba’s unique natural landscape and daring you to engage. \nThe collection includes masterworks by some of the most respected artists of our age\, including Andy Goldsworthy\, Orly Genger\, Jaume Plensa\, John Lopez\, Allan Houser and Ursula von Rydingsvard. \nOn your tour\, our enthusiastic volunteer guides will introduce you to the stories behind the artists and their work. Many of our pieces represent vital themes of social justice and sustainability\, challenging us all to go one step further than we thought we could toward a better world. \nGuided tour details \n\nWalk starts at 10AM promptly and lasts for roughly 90 minutes. Please make sure you are in the parking lot before then. Guide will meet you there.\nGuests must stay with the guide at all times.\nPlease dress appropriately for exploring the outdoors.\nWear appropriate footwear and bring a bottle of water and sunscreen.\nBe prepared to walk at an easy pace\, with some breaks\, for the full ninety minutes.\nAlnoba’s buildings are closed. Proceeds are donated to support Sawyer Park. \nReconnect with the land and with yourself on this contemplative two hour walking meditation with author and spiritual teacher Manny Muros. \nYou’ll view sculptures like Andy Goldsworthy’s Watershed Boulder and Beezy Bailey’s 1000 Year Dance Cure as Manny leads you through guided contemplations and teachings\, helping you enter a state of deep listening. Surrender your inner dialogue to the peace and harmony of the natural world as you explore Alnoba’s miles of trails. \nOur February and March events will be walking only. The April event will also include a half hour seated meditation. \nNotes and guidelines \n\nMeet Manny in the Main parking lot promptly at10 AM. The materials used in Andy Goldsworthy’s art includes mud\, pinecones\, snow\, stone\, leaves\, twigs and water. \nOn this tour\, you’ll explore three Goldsworthy pieces – including one that is part of a private collection and rarely available for public viewing. \n\nWatershed Boulder\, a monumental installation that evolves with the rain\, ice and snow\nBoulder House\, constructed in-situ around an enormous glacial boulder\nPassage\, a powerful and experiential piece featured in the Andy Goldsworthy documentary Leaning Into The Wind\n\nAll proceeds from this event are donated to support Kensington’s Sawyer Park\, a 35-acre public community park that provides a safe and beautiful place for families from across the region to gather outside. \nGuided tour details \n\nDifficulty Level: Involving roughly 2 mile walk up and down hills and along narrow trails over uneven ground.\nRecommended for ages 10 and up.\nMeet your tour guide in the Alnoba parking lot at the tour start time. Many of our pieces represent vital themes of social justice and sustainability\, challenging us all to go one step further than we thought we could toward a better world. \nGuided tour details \n\nWalk starts at 10AM promptly and lasts for roughly 90 minutes. Please make sure you are in the parking lot before then. Guide will meet you there.\nGuests must stay with the guide at all times.\nPlease dress appropriately for exploring the outdoors.\nWear appropriate footwear and bring a bottle of water and sunscreen.\nBe prepared to walk at an easy pace\, with some breaks\, for the full ninety minutes.\nAlnoba’s buildings are closed. Walkers may use the portable restroom in our parking lot.\nNo dogs are permitted on the property.\nThis is a walking tour only – no bicycles.\n\n*Due to its location\, the guided tour will not include Andy Goldsworthy\, “Boulder House”. \nThe tour takes place outdoors\, sometimes on uneven terrain\, with a roughly 2 mile walk.
