SUMMARY:Speaker Series: Ethan Tapper\, Author
DESCRIPTION:*Located at Alnoba 24 Cottage Rd. Kensington\, NH\n\nThursday\, March 19th\, 2026 from 5-7PM\nDoors open at 4PM to explore Alnoba’s property and sculpture.\n\nJoin us for an intimate evening with Ethan Tapper\, Vermont forester\, author\, and ecological storyteller\, as he shares the inspiration behind How to Love a Forest\, his journey restoring a troubled woodland\, and what it means to nurture forests in a changing world. \nEthan will read excerpts from How to Love a Forest and reflect on the bittersweet work of tending land in crisis. He’ll share stories—some hopeful\, some hard—from his experiences at Bear Island\, where he’s applied hands-on stewardship to heal a forest once deemed lost. Afterward\, there will be a Q&A and time for book-signings and conversation. \nWhether you’re curious about forest ecology\, land ethics\, or human responsibility to the natural world\, Ethan’s work bridges science\, heart\, and action. \nAbout Ethan Tapper\nEthan Tapper is a forester and bestselling author whose writing and work center on forest ecology\, stewardship\, and deep connection to land. His book How to Love a Forest: The Bittersweet Work of Tending a Changing World was published in 2024 and has been celebrated for blending memoir\, science\, and hope. In addition to managing his own 175-acre forest in Vermont\, Ethan speaks widely on ecological care\, produces digital content about forests (with a growing audience across platforms)\, and has published a children’s book\, Willow and the Storm. \nRefund and Weather Policy\nTickets are non-refundable. Please note that all events at Alnoba are rain or shine. If an event is cancelled due to extreme weather you will receive an email notification. If you do not get an email notifying you that the event is cancelled\, that means the event is still going forward as scheduled. \nBUY TICKETS
