Outdoor & Unplugged: Winter Wildlife Walk
January 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Winter may seem quiet and still, but the forest is full of life. You’ll explore all the activity still taking place in the Alnoba woodlands on this walk with our naturalist, Rose. We’ll look for animal tracks and learn to identify the wildlife still roaming here in New Hampshire at this chilly time of year. We’ll also learn about the species that aren’t seen in our winter woods – migratory animals that leave for warmer climates when the days grow shorter.
In addition to our walk, we’ll read a story, make a bird feeder and assemble bird houses to provide shelter for some of the forest’s winter residents.
A healthy snack is provided.
Note: We adventure out in rain, snow or shine because walking in the woods is magical no matter the weather!
