The Lewis Family has been involved in conservation sustainability, and preservation for all their lives. To further their commitment to conserving the earth and all its beauty for generations to come, they established the Lewis Family Foundation.
To date the Lewis Family Foundation has donated $164 million to 300 projects worldwide.
The heart of their conservation and sustainability efforts is Kensington, New Hampshire. Alnoba was developed on 400 acres of Kensington woodlands that has been championed by the Lewises’ ancestors for generations. The main building was built with restored New England timber frames and is the first building of its kind to achieve Passive House standard in the Northeast.
Conceived as a model that other communities could learn from and replicate, Alnoba donates all proceeds to support leadership programming for nonprofits and Seacoast and Boston city youth. Our food caterer and sister organization, The Farm at Eastman’s Corner, gives 100% of its profits and 5% of every sale to support Kensington’s Sawyer Park, a clean, safe place for children and families. The Lewis family donated the land and built the park for their town. Learn more about Sawyer Park.
When you have your meeting or event at Alnoba, you support conservation, local farmers and strong community and you also help our children—our future leaders—discover their potential. Thank you.
